Getting started
I have a bit of a problem with getting started. I don’t know about you – I don’t just put off the things I’m not looking forward to. I put off the good stuff too. This blog is a case in point. It has taken me over a year to get to put actual text into the actual box, and turn off the keep this private switch. I admit it. I have a procrastination problem. This video sums it up perfectly:

It’s all Michelle’s fault. My blog has been one of those important things I never got around to – until today. Last night I was catching up with Michelle (excellent marketing coach, provoker of good ideas and all round great person – see her website) and she challenged me to get my act together and get going.
The timing is exactly right, for two reasons. Firstly and most importantly, on Monday I fly to Palm Springs for TED2009 – the best possible reason for blogging. Secondly, I haven’t quite left myself enough time to get this blog going before I leave. Cutting things a shade too fine, making it slightly more than a dare, seems to be what it takes.
